Brief Profile of New Ambassasor to Saudi Arabia, Mansur Abdulkarim

Ambassador Mansur Abdulkarim, a consummate diplomat par excellence, has been appointed as a career ambassador to Saudi Arabia by President Muhammadu Buhari. He hails from Dorofi in Sardauna LGA of Taraba state. Though Mambilla by tribe, he has a mastery of the Fulfulde and Hausa languages and was a famous Fulfulde broadcaster in the Voice of Nigeria (VON), Lagos before joining the ministry of Foreign Affairs as a diplomat.
To his advantage, he's fluent in four international languages like English, French, Arabic and Spanish. Before his recent appointment he had worked in Argentina, Spain, Gambia etc.
He has been to 42 countries. With him Taraba state now has three diplomats, a career ambassador, Barrister Zacharia Ifu from the south, political ambassador, Hassan A Mammani, from the north. He, Mansur Abdulkarim, is a career ambassador from the central zone.
