CSP Mahmood Mohammed Dahuwa: A Fantastic, Refined Officer of the Law

 CSP Mahmood Dahuwa Azare is celebrated today as he is decorated as Chief Superindant of Police by his boss, Director and chief executive officer of NFIU, Modibbo Hamman Tukur, a rank he obtained owing to his dedication, hardwork and determination.  

This courageous and accomplished police officer began his career as a policeman  on February 2, 2000, when he was enrolled as a recruit Constable. Seven years after joining the police, he was promoted to the rank of an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) at the prestigious Police Staff College, Jos, Plateau State.

Rising systematically from the ranks, CSP Dahuwa served as a Divisional Crime Officer (DCO), Low Coast in Gombe State. While he was instrumental in fighting the notorious Kalare group during the reigns of Governor Danjuma Goje. CSP Dahiwa was also a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Karimlamido local government area of Taraba State. As DPO, Dahuwa ensured Karimlamido became stable and secure. He brought crime in the area down to the barest minimum by initiating new crime fighting strategies, and using a wide range of technology to identify, track down and punish perpetrators of crime to protect the masses. He was a well trained fearless crime fighter. As a DPO, Dahuwa has made so many successes there by making police friends of the community.

From DPO, he became the State Traffic Officer of the Central Motor Traffic Division in Jalingo. From there, he was posted to Acting Governor Abubakar Sani Danladi as an aide de camps (ADC) on November 20, 2014.

DSP Dahuwa has served his boss well till they leave office in 2015. Anytime you asked CSP Dahuwa of his boss he would say “The Acting Governor has not only been my official principal, he is an elder brother and father to me. Our union is beyond an ADC-Governor relationship. He is like an elder brother who is from the same mother and father with me.”

Immediately after finishing his assignment with the acting Governor he was transferred to Abuja to become Head anti banditry Gwagwalada,Kuje ,Abaji and kwali axis from 2016-2017. A divisional crime officer Lugbe division in 2018 , Chief security officer Nigerian Financial intelligence unit (NFIU) 2019.

He has been the Head of field operations NFIU from 2019 to date.

Dahuwa is a passionate police officer, that loves his job and dedicate himself towards achieving his set goals. He has so much penchant for discipline, dedication and punctuality that is why he always overtakes his peers and colleagues. 

I celebrate CSP Mahmoud Dahuwa as he wears his new rank of CSP today. I wish him God guidance and greater success as he continue to rise through the ranks.
