Darussalam Insurgents Behind Security Crises in Nasarawa, Says Governor
Nasarawa State Governor, Abdulahi Sule, has exposed the group of insurgents causing havoc in parts of the state.
The governor said the insurgents who were earlier dislodged have regrouped at the Nasarawa/Benue border from where they are now launching attacks on residents of his state.
The governor said this on Friday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari over the rising security challenges in the state.
The meeting was held behind closed doors at the State House, Abuja.
Sule told State House correspondents after the meeting that the terrorists active in the state belong to the Darussalam group that had been dislodged from Niger State, adding that upon a joint security operation, a lot of them were killed while 900 were arrested.
