Dare, Pinnick, eight governors for maiden NPFL awards

Sports Minister, Sunday Dare, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick and eight  serving governors in the country top the list of honorees at the inaugural Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Club Secretaries Forum event scheduled to hold in Aba, the commercial hub of Abia State next Thursday, April 8, 2021.

Coordinator of the NPFL Club Secretaries Forum, Chibuzor Nwogu who is the Secretary of Enyimba Football club of Aba, said the awardees were carefully picked based on their various contributions to sports development in Nigeria.

Rivers State governor Nyesome Wike, Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano, Rt. Honourable Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu State) , Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom, Dr.Samuel Orton, Simon Lalong of Plateau State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta and the host Okezie Ikpeazu  are the eight  governors listed for recognition for their unflinching support to football development in Nigeria.

Astute administrators like Dr Sanusi Mohammed general secretary of NFF, chairman League management company (LMC) Shehu Dikko and Salihu Abubakar, the Chief Operating Officer of Nigeria's topflight league NPFL are also penciled down for the award .

The prestigious Address Hotels in Aba, Opobo Road will host the ceremony which will be preceded by the Annual general meeting of the Forum.
