SOMEBODY SHOULD TEACH WADATA PLAZA HOW TO SHUT-UP PLEASE

 — Maiwada Dammallam

A headless chicken will do anything including jumping into a frying pan. To convict not only Sheikh Pantami but President Buhari as well, the new wailing line is: “Why former SGF Babachir and former Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun, were sacked by the President and in retrospect, he should sack Sheikh Pantami.

In his days as SGF, Babachir was described as the closest and most powerful member of Buhari’s kitchen cabinet. In her days as Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun was described as the most powerful Finance Minister ever in Nigeria who had the ears of the President.

The business of being a “Bozo” is a very hard one. Apparently it’s so complicated that among the army of wailers proposing the desperate alternative of the Babachir/Adeosun dummy it’s yet to hit any that this is a line in favor of the President. It’s one and the same thing with saying President Buhari is consistent and not one to side with wrongdoings regardless of proximity with those involved. Now Bozo, this is also one the same with saying that he did not passed a vote of confidence on Sheikh Pantami because he’s a close ally but simply because he’s convinced the allegations against Pantami are desperate beer-parlor responses to hopeless and agreeably consuming situations.

And According to Channels TV, “PDP notes that if indeed the Buhari Presidency has not found itself entangled, the least it ought to have done in the face of the allegations against Pantami was to reassure Nigerians by first relieving Isa Pantami of his office and hand him over to the appropriate agency for deradicalization.”

I don’t know what it is they feed people in Wadata Plaza that’s making them so hopelessly daft! It was in January 2012 at the peak of PDP’s power drunkenness and rascality that former President Jonathan confessed that members of the extremist Boko Haram sect have succeeded in infiltrating his government. Not much longer, precisely in April 2012, the then National Security Adviser, late Andrew Azazi, dropped another bombshell. Azazi accused the PDP of causing the increased activities of the Boko Haram sect. Premium Times reported thusly:

“The National Security Adviser, Andrew Owoye Azazi has blamed the rise of insurgence by the fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram in the country on the internal wranglings of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties.”

Notwithstanding such high level confessions of PDP’s involvement in terrorism, not once did Wadata Plaza call for the investigation of those allegations to identify the crooks involved and start the process of deradicalizing them. It didn’t end there. PDP went ahead to participate in the outright stealing of $2.3 billion voted to tackle terrorism which by then, even by PDP’s shallow depth of reasoning, was a menace already out of hand. Then, who’s better qualified for deradicalization between Sheikh Pantami and the PDP? Pick your choice. You may allow PDP a little discount inconsideration of the ongoing deradicalization of Diezeni Alison-Madueke in UK though.
