FG TO SET UP AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT INSTITUTE IN LAFIA

 

Gov. Abdullahi A. Sule of Nasarawa 

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved to establishment of Agricultural Equipment And Machinery Development Institute, AMEDI in Lafia the Nasarawa state capital. The institute will be under the supervision of the National Agency for Sciences and Engineering Infrastructure, NASENI.

Nasarawa state Governor Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule dropped the good news Saturday at the commissioning ceremony of the Lafia City Mall in Lafia.

Governor Sule who says he is elated by the development thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the gesture while enumerating the benefits derivable from the initiative to include opportunities for youth employment as well boosting agriculture.

The institute (AMEDI) in addition to the Vocational and skills acquisition centre by the state government is in line with his administrations Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy, NEDS which lays emphasis on creating the right atmosphere for investors and development.
