Hajj Cancellation: Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims’ CEO interfaces with stakeholders
The Permanent Secretary and Executive Secretary of Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission, Malam Salihu Abubakar has interacted with Hajj stakeholders in Adamawa preparatory to commence payment of Hajj refund deposit to intending pilgrims of the cancelled 2020 and 2021 Hajj exercises.
The Permanent Secretary and Executive Secretary who briefed the forum on the successes his leadership had recorded onshore and offshore, explained some of the steps taken to navigate the way forward.
Among the stakeholders who attended the event held at Fombina Ambassadors Hotel Yola included the Special Advisers to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Muslim Pilgrims Affairs and Islamic Affairs respectively, Adamawa State Muslim Council, Traditional Councils, Security agencies and ICPC as well as Local Government Councils.
Others were Gamzaki Traders Association, Miyetti Allah, Tabital Pulaaku and Hajj Monitors of Nigeria, FOMWAN as well as Islamic Scholars.
It could be recalled that the Permanent Secretary and Executive Secretary had earlier held a similar meeting with Management Committee of the Commission as well as with local government Hajj Schedule officers aimed at charting course for the way forward with regard to refund to interested intending Pilgrims.
