Governor Zulum received Presidential vistation panel

The delegation led by the VC unimaid and his principal officers accompanied by the members of the presidential panel headed by the former Deputy Governor of Kano State Prof.Hafiz Abubakar MFR.

The Vice Chancellor Prof. Aliyu Shugaba in his address stated that President Muhammadu Buhari has constituted such panels to visit all Federal Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education and as such the panel on arrival as courtesy demands paid a visit to the Chief Executive of the State, the panel is here to access ten years reports of the university activities.

The Chairman of the Panel Prof. Hafiz Abubakar in his remarks stated that the main objective of the panel's visit is to appraise the quality of leadership and administration of federal academic institutions not exempting the financial regulation and assesment of activities which is carried out every 5 years, and this panel is to access seperate reports of 2011- 2014 and 2016-2020 and endulge the Governor's support and participation in the exercise.

His Excellency in his response appreciated the Panel for the Visit, assured them of his Support towards achieving the purpose of the group.He further stated that the objective of the panel would yield a positive result which would enable the Federal Government to update its Short, medium and long term plans towards improving the tertiary education sector. He wished them success as they carry out their assignment.
